how it all happened...
The Stircrazies band officially launched during the summer of 2009 and was started by Cole Connolly and Brendan Clemente. The foundation of a project built from grassroots up. Starting with nothing more than two friends, a dream and a couple of loose screws who stuck together performing every chance that they got.
Rock Reggae band resided in San Diego, California and released their debut album titled “Rise Against.” The eleven-track album a hard-hitting eleven track recordings that deliver on so many levels. This band put their unique stamp on a genre that Sublime helped push to international recognition. The Stircrazies had the ultimate honor of working with one of their personal idols, trumpet player C-Money.
“The first time I met and jammed with Cole was a major turning point in my life. Before that, the idea of playing music for a living seemed like something that people in Hollywood were born into… something that wasn’t a reality for me.” – Brendan
With a common love for music and the drive to share their music, the two began reworking and giving new life to songs that Cole had been writing since he was a teenager. Playing two-man acoustic gigs, they garnered a lot of attention from other local artists and musicians eager to be a part of their project; at the height of their first year together they rocked sold-out shows with up to seven members on stage at a time, including a DJ and two female backup singers. But they knew at their core they destined to become a punk-reggae three piece. As unsigned artists with limited financial resources, they struggled to stay afloat,
“I truly believe that people don’t come knocking on your door with a musical opportunity, its truly a matter of positioning yourself to be at the right place at the right time. The stage is truly a sacred alter that has been paved with the blood, sweat, tears, and broken dreams of many and it’s an honor to be able to participate in the tradition.”- Cole
FastForward to 2026 Brendan Clemente is on a fast track to stardom. Please support by checking out his music. Kali Kole is performing SOLO sets in the Willamette Valley Area in Oregon, while not touring with Brendan Clemente Band.
